Brandstand, a patented mobile event marketing and entertainment solution, was recently showcased at Tommy Bahama’s 11th Annual Date Palm Classic benefiting Habitat for Humanity of the Coachella Valley. Hosted at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California, the event is part of Tommy Bahama’s Golf Classic Series, which includes similar events across the country.
Chosen for their mobility, entertainment, and data gathering capabilities, Brandstands were positioned at the golf course clubhouse while players registered for the event. Golfers flocked to the Tommy Bahama tiki-inspired Brandstand, eagerly entering their contact information using the integrated touch-screen kiosks in order to receive information from Habitat for Humanity, the tournament’s beneficiary.
Just before tee off, two Brandstands were quickly and easily towed with a golf cart to opposite ends of the course. In a matter of minutes, the portable Brandstands were playing music videos and entertaining the crowd, while bartenders were pouring cold draft beer and mixing cocktails using a compact bar designed by Glacier Design Systems, the country's leading draught beer system design firm. Event attendees sat comfortably under the Brandstand’s canopy on bar stools in the hot desert sun and enjoyed ice-cold beverages with the help of Chilldisc, a patented beverage cooling system that keeps drinks cold down to the very last sip.
Keeping tournament players entertained with audio, video and cold beverages was previously impossible on the remote outskirts of a golf course. But with Brandstand's self-contained power capabilities, the units were able to run continuously for over 8 hours.
greensyn, a national synthetic turf company and tournament sponsor, used its own Brandstand to attract attention to the company’s products. Brandstand’s Rapid Panel system allowed greensyn to have its own branded mobile display, which prominently featured the company’s logo, website address, and portfolio of work.
Following the fundraiser, the street-legal Brandstands were easily towed with golf carts back to the clubhouse where they were then hitched to a truck for their commute to downtown Palm Springs. The Brandstand tiki bar sat on the famous El Paseo Drive outside Tommy Bahama's restaurant where patrons were entertained by music and video playing on the Brandstand's 3 flat-screen televisions.
